Beating yeast.

Okay. New start.

Thanks for letting me vent yesterday.

Everything is just okay.

On the positive side, I am SO happy I know and understand my body more.

It makes a lot of puzzle pieces fall in to place.

Right now, I am on week four of eating yeast-free.

I have four more weeks to go.

Hopefully, after that, I can stop the Candida diet and just be gluten-free.

Readers, cross your fingers for me!

Like most conditions, Candidiasis represents itself differently for everyone.

It's serious though, and can be seriously uncomfortable!

My doc has instructed me to go on a yeast-free diet for 8 weeks.

It is feeling like a long time...

However, I'm feeling much better!

Here is a brief idea of what my Candida diet consists of:

Unlimited non-starchy veggies

A small serving of starchy veggies

A small portion of grains, breads, pasta, cereals (not served with starchy veggie)

Olive oil, or coconut oil (preferred)

1 small serving a beans or legumes a day

unlimited amounts of nuts (no peanuts or pistachios)

1 small serving of low-glycemic fruit

2-3 servings of meat, fish, poultry, or eggs

Yogurt, almond milk, small serving of hard non-moldy cheese

Water, one cup of coffee or tea, and 1 glass of wine twice a week.

This is not a weight-loss diet, this is a get healthy and balanced diet.

However, my clothes do feel a little looser and I feel much less bloated.

Yeast overgrowth can prevent you from losing weight so MOST people lose weight once they beat the yeast.

Planning and preparation is KEY for any diet, especially this one.

In a separate post I will give you some pictures and must have items to be successful!

If you're feeling off, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.

Please post questions or comments!!
