Strength Shooting.

I was going to write a normal post but a normal post doesn't seem to fill me up. Here's a snippet of prayer that I'm willing to openly share. God has been good to me and he deserves ALL the glory.

Dear God,

It's 4:30 a.m. and I'm wide awake.

I never do this! Instead of tossing and turning with frustration I figured I'd start my day and hope for a nap later.

This post is a little different. I wanted to talk straight to you, Lord.

I'm bursting at the seams with graciousness.

For you Lord gave me life, fear, healing, and growth.

This past week was a reminder of your love for me, for everyone.

I remember when the shooting first happened my mom continued to tell me that you were the one to give me strength (she quotes you often!)

You certainly gave it then but continue to offer it daily.

I've had this crazy fearful desire to shoot a gun since I was shot.

For the last 2,327 days I've battled fear at the sound of popping and anxiety at the sight of guns.

Through streaming tears and shaking hands YOU helped me conquer.

You used my family as support.

Standing and staring at the target I knew you were there.

Together, we shot a gun.

And, I thank you.

Clearly, this weekend was a BIG DEAL.

It was a big deal because there was so much joy and simplicity.
