Friends and French Toast!

We love friends.

We recently had some of our wonderful friends, The Mackin Family and Danny, over to watch the UNLV vs. North Carolina game.

It was Saturday morning at 11 so Mrs. Mackin had the brilliant idea of making breakfast!

Genius!

She brought the supplies to make gluten-free french toast.

Okay people: toast, delicious, and gluten-free usually don't go in a sentence together.

Gluten-free or not, I'd make this again!

Apple Cinnamon Gluten-Free French Toast Recipe

ft12

Ingredients:

Gluten-Free bread loaf

Egg

Apple Cinnamon Rice Chex GF cereal

One apple

Cinnamon

Sugar

How to make the French Toast:

Mix eggs (depending on how much you're making) in a mixing bowl.

Crunch the cereal into little chunks on a plate using hand or spoon. (clean hand!)

Dip the bread into the egg, then into the cereal chunks (cereal should stick to bread)

Cook in pan like normal frenchie toastie.

How to make the apples to top the toast:

Peel or cut skin off apple slices.

Place in pan or pot on low with cinnamon and sugar. (careful not to burn the sugar or apples!)

Apples are done once they soften...you'll smell them!

Did I forget a step? Hope not.

How to Eat:

Butter, Syrup, fork, and SMILE.

YUM!

I also made a random, left-over egg casserole/frittata thing.

WOW, to my surprise it was DELICIOUS!

If you're interested in the recipe, email me or comment and I'll post the recipe.

You add cinnamon rolls (not gf), orange juice, coffee, berries, succulents, and an adorable baby boy it makes for a gorgeous Saturday affair.

How did I NOT snap a photo of the friends?

So sorry.

:/

Thank you friends for letting me sharing your time and your recipe!

xo.
