Pregnant and sick = no bueno.

Woke up with a gnarly head cold.

Sore throat, major boogs, and zero energy.

What does that call for???

Remember our Thailand adventures this summer?

Click here to refresh your memory!

This is the link to all the posts in July so pick and choose because there is lots of variety!

While in Chiang Mai we took a Thai Cooking class; one of my favorite memories!

(minus my ridiculous diarrhea rendezvous post cooking)

One of my cooking choices was Tom Yum Soup, or, DTOM YUM GOONG.

It can be prepared with a coconut broth or a chicken broth.

It's ridiculously fresh and filled with ginger, lemongrass, and lime.

You can make it spicy with more chillies to make you sweat!

It is so so scrumptious.

So where is the MVP in the middle of a NFL playoff game?

Getting TOM YUM take out!

For you ambitious and non-sick people, here's the recipe taken STRAIGHT from the Thai Cookery School Recipe Book in Chaing Mai, Thailand!

It's an excellent remedy when feeling sick...much better than Campbell's!

(use gluten-free soy sauce to make it gf!)

Garage is opening...soup is here!

Kob koon ka!

(Thank you in Thai)

  1. I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to tackle thai food (eating or preparing it). It's not my favorite. This is a cool post though. You and your husband look so cute by the way. Feel better!

  2. Thank you for reading and commenting! Thai does take awhile to get used to but when you do, it's AMAZING! you need to get the right things too... I certainly don't like ALL Thai dishes. Thanks again! Xo.

  3. This post makes me wonder if I too should brave Thai.. as I can't possibly feel any worse even if it does fail (achoo).

Looks yum and your post is entertaining. Thanks :)

  4. Thank you for reading, Kristine! The cold stinks!!! It's certainly worth a try and really, it's YUMMY!!! Let me know if you do :]
