Avocado Toast!

I don't know what it is but I've been having daily "hangry" moments. 

Hangry= angry+ hungry. 

It's not a desirable formula for me and especially for those around me!

I blame it on mommyhood because when I do have a free moment I like to shower or brush my teeth...eating is usually put off which leads to hangryness. 

I'm working on it, okay?
(It's not really mommyhood, I've been working on it for 26 years!)

However, a delicious recipe was created due to a hangry moment. I was starving and needed something QUICK, before somebody lost their head. 

Voila!




I'll call it...Avocado Toast!

Ingredients:

Gluten-Free toast
1/3 Avocado
1 Hard boiled egg
dash of olive oil
carrots
sea salt
pepper
chopped cilantro

Preparation:
Toast bread. Mush together one hardboiled egg, 1/3 avocado, sea salt, pepper, cilantro, and a hint of olive oil. Spread like butta, baby! Add shredded carrot (for crunch and fanciness!). 

EAT!

It's healthy, filling, and quick! It has a lot of healthy fats (avo and oil), protein (egg), and carbs (toast). 
It wasn't an intentional balanced snack but I'm purrtty stoked about it. 

For my fellow GF folk...I used the Udis bread...it's my fav! 

Now, go chow down!

  2. mmm! I love this, I will definitely try it! I like doing mashed avocado on toast with a fried egg.
    Now I wish I had some avocado on hand! :)
