August 8, 2013

It's been far too long since I busted out my leather journal.
After reading my devotional this morning, I had the strong desire to pencil my thoughts.
After writing and praying I searched through my dusty journal finding page after page of scripture and prayer.
Isn't amazing to see places we've been and how God works in us?
If you don't journal, I encourage you to start.
Although journaling is powerful in the moment, I almost feel the real power comes from the reflection later on. It's incredible to relive such tender moments...moments worth writing about.

I'm currently journaling and reflecting on women in the Bible through the She Reads Truth devotional. I'm learning so much and making so many connections and applications to MY life.
If you're interested, it only takes 5 minutes but I stretch it because I WANT TO.
I'm always up to learning and bettering (is that a word?) my life.

Written December 5, 2012. Now I get to hold and kiss my sweet blessing.
Wow has he blessed this new life, or what?

Written September 10th, 2010.
BEFORE we were engaged. I knew I wanted to marry that man!

Here's to journaling and taking time to THINK.
I'm tired and journaling sometimes takes a lot out of me, but, it is well with my soul.
Happy Thursday!
