#31day October Writing Challenge >>> Day 19!

The perks of being home with my daughter are days like these.

We played in the park...twice.

The simplicity of a picnic is so calming.
We snuggled under the trees staring at the leaves contrasting against the sky.
I watched her as curiosity was alive and well.
It's remarkable watching her witness LIFE; life is full of firsts for her.
Do you remember the first time you gazed at the trees on a cozy blanket?
Me neither.
One day, we'll read this, baby girl, and remember our first time listening to airplanes soar and birds chirp.
It was so simple.
It's crazy how this little infant brings out the best in me. Because of her I'm doing things less than routine. She's teaching me to be still and witness life through the eyes of a child. Thank you, sweet Ireland. Mommy loves you!

Later in the day She went on the swing for the first time. It's safe to say She loved it!

This week She gets fitted for a cranial helmet. I'll share more later, but for now, prayers are welcome for this sweet peanut! (actually more ME, mommy is nervous for the fitting!)

ps: is this challenge over yet?!
