#31day October Writing Challenge >>> Day 22!

Oy vay!

I've done it again. No, not failed but SUPER succeeded in the kit-chownnn.

I bought a basil plant last week and so far I haven't killed her.
In fact, She's been quite good to me thus far and I've used her for many dishes.
My fave so far, you ask?

Homemade Cilantro-Basil PESTO!

I googled how to make pesto because I've never made it before. Had I known it was so dang easy I would have attempted lonnnnng ago. It always seemed like a fancy schmancy dish that I wasn't ready for. But, I did it y'all!

I'm all about giving credit to other bloggers and recipes. Honestly, this was my own! After much research I ended up not following a recipe and going with my own dish.

Here goes!

Ingredients:

3/4 cup combined fresh cilantro and basil
1 cup tasty olive oil
1/2 cup pecans
2 tbs feta cheese
1 tbs agave nectar
1-2 cloves of fresh garlic
dash of seasalt

Directions:

Add pecans to food processor (or nutribullet) and finely chop.
Combine all ingredients and mix!
Change consistency to your liking (may need more olive oil).

It makes about 3/4 cup of yummy Cilantro-Basil PESTO!

Just wait until you see how I used it...
