Meet Me!

Dear Reader,

Oh, hi! Congrats on making it to the about me section on my little corner of the internet. That means you have a much better attention span than I! Seriously.

Well, here is my suggestion to you…go put on your jammies, pour yourself a cocktail, and buckle your seatbelt.

Oh! Before I forget to tell you…I’m really glad you are here. Truly.
However…if you get woozy with talk of bullets, cuss words, and Jesus I suggest you make a u-turn. Stat.

So what is this blog, you ask?

Hmmph. Great fucking question.
{WARNING: Faux Pas alert!}
I totally love Jesus, but I cuss too. You see, I have crazy baggage…but so do you…and it is beautiful that we can recognize that, ain’t it?

I hope you are feeling more comfortable (or more tipsy from your wine).
I know I am.

Alright folks, let’s get to the nitty gritty.

Wait! First and foremost, I’m a mommy to my sweet and sassy Ireland Grace. She’s radiant in my eyes and continues to brighten my world. Becoming a mommy was a gift that keeps giving and you know what? Until my dying day I will treasure that little girl. I may not be perfect…but my love for her will never dry up. EVER.

::tears::
::clear throat::

Alright.
I’ve lived and learned a little lot in my 28 years of existence.

Listen up. You listening?
I. AM. A. WORK. IN. PROGRESS.

I’ve been married…and divorced.
I’ve been shot in the face with a 45-caliber bullet.
I’ve shit my brains out with malaria.
I’ve wine tasted in Tuscany, spooned with (huge!) tigers in Thailand, and carried cow poop on my head in Africa. (Translation: I’ve traveled a lot!)

You guys, these are just stories. They are only worth writing about because attached to these events are life-changing experiences that have stretched me FAR beyond my realm of comfort. I’ve cried and danced (literally) my way through life and have no intention of stopping that. Read what happens after forests are ravaged by forest fires… THAT is how I choose to see myself!

I’m a woman who once believed I was broken.

I want nothing more than to take my life lessons and use them for YOU. Yes, YOU. I’m willing to walk the plank, for you, if it pushes you to also live just beyond your comfort zones. Life is so free on the other side…I PROMISE you that.

If you don’t believe you’re worthy, please stay awhile.

I don’t know why God chose me to be a messenger of something (??? Still figuring that out!), but I’m thankful for the tasks he has assigned. Join me, be patient with me, and if we ever get the pleasure to meet in person…give me a big ol’ hug. (unless you're a total creeper, you ain't gettin' nothin'!)

I welcome you to the beginning of your never end, if you shall choose it. Life is literally waiting for you to wake up and ENJOY it. I promise to offer you a dose of imperfection, possible laughs, and a safe place to feel normal in a world that well…ignores the importance of working on ourselves.

Follow me on instagram, pinterest, facebook, and twitter to get the #akk latest.

I would have done all the letters but it looks like aKOK.
Get it?
A cock.
GULP.

…and come back to visit me…I love the company!

With sass,
.K

ps: The power of intense forest fires is the first step in regrowth. (My mom taught me this, too!)

I am living my testimony right now as an expat in Abu Dhabi and I totally relate to you, except for the hubs and baby(Still waiting on God for those).
    Thanks for sharing your story.
